Hemophilia Program

AmeriHealth Caritas Pennsylvania members with hemophilia can join a special program to help them manage their condition.

Call 1-877-693-8271, option 2 (TTY 711) or visit the member portal today to join the hemophilia program.

What can the hemophilia program do for me?

The hemophilia program can help you:

  • Learn about the medicines for treating hemophilia.
  • Learn about self-infusion.
  • Learn how to stop injuries.
  • Learn about the importance of shots (immunizations).
  • Connect you with a hemophilia treatment center.

What is hemophilia?1

Hemophilia is an uncommon disease. It is genetic. That means people with hemophilia are born with it. When you have hemophilia, your body cannot clot your blood. This can make it hard for you to stop bleeding.

Join the hemophilia program today.

To join the hemophilia program, please call 1-877-693-8271, option 2 (TTY 711).

Or, you can log in to the member portal and go to Enroll in a Special Program.

Questions?

If you are a part of but no longer want to be in the hemophilia program, call 1-877-693-8271, option 2 (TTY 711). Leaving the program will not change your benefits. It will also not change the way AmeriHealth Caritas Pennsylvania or the Department of Human Services (DHS) treats you.
